MEET MENDY DOUGLAS
Insurance
is personal. I think the conversation
should be too.
With approximately a decade of experience in life and health insurance, Mendy Douglas founded Douglas Benefits Group around a straightforward idea: people deserve to understand the coverage they’re considering.
Portrait forthcoming.
THE PERSON BEHIND DOUGLAS BENEFITS GROUP
EXPERIENCE MATTERS. So does how you’re treated.
I’ve spent approximately a decade working in life and health insurance. One thing has always mattered to me: people should understand what they’re buying.
Insurance can affect your health, your family, your income and the future you’re building. Those decisions deserve more than a sales pitch.
My background extends beyond insurance. With a degree in Advertising and experience in marketing, business and entrepreneurship, I value good questions, a clear view of the options and decisions made with useful information.
I’m also a mother and grandmother. Life looks different at different stages, and so do our responsibilities. What matters when you’re starting a family may be different from what matters when you’re preparing for retirement.
That perspective is part of Douglas Benefits Group. My role is to explain how a product works, what it may and may not do, and whether it makes sense for the situation you’re trying to address.

LIFE DOESN’T STAND STILL
Life changes.
So do the things
we need to protect.
As a mother, grandmother, entrepreneur and insurance professional, I bring more than one perspective to a conversation. Responsibilities can grow, change or become simpler. The questions should change with them.
That’s the idea behind protection across life’s stages: taking a fresh look at what matters now, instead of assuming an earlier decision will always fit.
DIFFERENT CHAPTERS. DIFFERENT QUESTIONS.
- Starting a career
- Building a family
- Growing a business
- Protecting income
- Planning for children’s futures
- Protecting what you’ve built
- Preparing for retirement
- Living in retirement
A life stage is a reason to review your priorities—not a rule that you need a particular product.
MY APPROACH
YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU’RE BUYING, WHY YOU’RE BUYING IT, AND HOW IT WORKS.
I believe in education before pressure. Clear explanations. Questions that are welcomed, including the ones you might hesitate to ask.
A product shouldn’t be presented as a magical solution. Complexity calls for a better explanation. You deserve to understand important limitations as well as potential benefits.
My goal is to give you enough information to make an informed decision.
A CONVERSATION WITH A PURPOSE
What can you expect
when we talk?
Start where you are. Select a step to see how I approach the conversation.
THE CONVERSATION / WE START WITH YOU
We Start With You
I want to understand what you’re trying to accomplish, what concerns you and what protection you already have.
THREE AREAS. THE SAME APPROACH.
A broader view
of protection.
Different insurance categories answer different questions. In each one, understanding comes first.
A QUESTION WORTH ASKING
What could your current health coverage leave for you to handle?
The everyday deserves a clear explanation.
Health insurance and supplemental protection can help address healthcare-related financial risks. Start with what you have, how it works and where you may still have exposure.
Explore Health & SupplementalSpecific products, including annuities, depend on confirmed licensing, appointments and availability. Douglas Benefits Group provides insurance guidance, not investment, tax or legal advice. Review state availability.
A policy shouldn’t begin
with a sales pitch. It should begin
with a conversation.
